With the ZARMS add-on, you can use ZARMS from the side panel on the right of Gmail and Google Docs. In Gmail you can turn the open email into a card. In Google Docs you can see the document’s card and change its status. One installation covers both Gmail and Google Docs.

Requirements

  • A Google account that has signed in to ZARMS before. The add-on uses the same Google account you sign in to ZARMS with. If you haven’t yet, sign in to ZARMS first.
  • You are a member of a team, and the team is on a trial or a paid plan. Boards in suspended or canceled teams don’t appear.
Both company Google Workspace accounts and personal Gmail accounts work.

Install it for your account

1

Find ZARMS in the Marketplace

Open the Google Workspace Marketplace, search for “ZARMS”, and open it.
2

Install

Press Install and choose the Google account you use with ZARMS.
3

Allow access

Review Google’s permission screen and press Allow. The permissions are listed in Permissions the add-on asks for.
4

Reload Gmail or Google Docs

Reload any open Gmail or Google Docs tabs. The ZARMS icon appears in the side panel on the right.
If the side panel is hidden, press the arrow at the bottom right of the screen (Show side panel).

Install it for your organization (Google Workspace admins)

Who can do this: Google Workspace admins On the ZARMS page in the Marketplace, press Admin install to install it for the whole organization or for selected organizational units. Members don’t need to install it themselves. Google’s permission screen appears the first time each member presses the ZARMS icon. If your organization restricts Marketplace apps, add ZARMS to the allowlist in the Google Admin console.

If something goes wrong

  • “Use a Google account that has signed in to ZARMS before.” appears: The Google account in Gmail or Docs hasn’t signed in to ZARMS yet. Sign in to app.zarms.cloud with that account, then reopen the side panel. A different Google account with the same email address won’t work.
  • The ZARMS icon doesn’t appear: Reload the tab. If you’re signed in to several Google accounts, switch to the one you installed it for. For an organization account, check whether your admin restricts Marketplace apps.
