In ZARMS, you use the left navigation to choose where to look, and the right navigation to choose how to look and to open settings. You can create and search for cards from the top of any screen.

Home: start with the cards that are your turn

When you sign in, Home opens first. Home shows three things:
  • The AI input box: The box that says “Ask anything.” Type a question and send it, and you’ll go to the AI screen to see the answer.
  • Your cards: The cards where you have the ball (it’s your turn to act) and that aren’t Done yet, sorted by nearest due date. In ZARMS, the person who needs to act next on a card has the ball — it’s their turn. Press Move to … on a card to move its status forward one step. Cards updated since you last opened them have a highlighted border. Cards you follow appear in the same row. Someone else has the ball, so their buttons are Comment and Unfollow. Comment opens the card ready for you to write a comment. Press Unfollow to remove the card from this row. Overdue or stalled cards appear first as cards to tidy up (Clean up overdue and stalled cards).
  • Boards: Boards that have cards assigned to you come first, followed by the rest.
If you don’t have the ball on any cards, you’ll see links to open My Board and to create a card.

Left navigation: choose where to look

Drag an item’s icon to change the order. The order is saved separately in each browser. When the navigation is expanded, links to boards appear below the items. Use the selector above them to show only boards from My groups or boards from All groups. Boards that aren’t in any group appear below a divider line. For more about groups, see Groups and skills.

Top: create, search, and your account

  • New: Creates something that fits the screen you’re on: a board on the board list, a member on the members screen, and a card everywhere else. Use the arrow on the right to choose whether to create a card, board, member, group, or skill.
  • Search cards: Find cards by name or number. Click the box to also see cards you opened recently. For details, see Find a card.
  • In trial / Upgrade: Opens information about plans. Depending on your plan, this may not appear.
  • Account (the icon in the top right): Shows your name, your role, and the teams you belong to. Switch teams, create a new team, or sign out here.

Right navigation: switch views and open settings

From top to bottom, you’ll find these buttons:
  • Comment: Opens the list of comments across the team. A count appears when you have unread comments addressed to you. For details, see Let people know with comments.
  • View switcher: On boards and My Board, switch between Kanban, List, and Timeline. On the board list, switch between List and Grid.
  • Theme color (color circle): Changes your screen’s color (Change your screen color).
  • Settings (gear): Shows Notification settings and MCP connections. Admins also see Team settings (the admin console).
  • Help: Includes Help Center (opens articles related to the screen you’re on), Contact, the terms of use, Shortcuts, and more.
  • Announcements: News from ZARMS. Opens automatically when there’s a new announcement.

Phones and other narrow screens

On narrow screens, the left navigation items appear at the bottom of the screen. The search box also moves to the bottom, and you can search for cards, boards, members, and so on, depending on the screen you’re on. The + button next to it works the same as New. Boards appear as a vertical list of cards instead of Kanban or List view. Use Sort at the top to choose the order and filters. Settings, help, and switching teams are all in the account menu in the top right (Switch between teams).
For now, narrow screens don’t have a button to open the comment list. You can see each card’s comments in the card details.

Handy keyboard shortcuts

On a Mac, use ⌘ instead of Ctrl and ⌥ (Option) instead of Alt. To see the full list, choose Shortcuts in the help menu or see Work faster with keyboard shortcuts. There you can also choose whether pressing Enter in the AI input box sends your message or adds a new line.
