When you ask AI what you want to know on the Insights screen, you get a tab with charts and tables. Each tab remembers its period and filters, and it’s redrawn with the latest numbers every time you open it. Turn the views you check often into tabs, and you have your own dashboard. For how the whole screen works and the numbers on the advice tabs, see Look back with Insights.

Who can use it

  • Teams on a plan that includes AI (during a trial, or on Starter or a higher plan)
  • An admin hasn’t turned off AI features
  • The team has credits left
If you can’t use it, see AI is unavailable.

Make a tab

1

Choose a view

On wide screens, such as a computer, choose My view or Team view in the right navigation. A new tab uses the view you choose here.
2

Open a new tab

Press + at the far left of the tabs. On a phone, then choose Look at my work or Look at the team.
3

Type what you want to know and send it

Type your question in the box below the tabs and send it. You can also press one of the examples shown by the box.
4

Check the answer

AI builds a chart or table from the real numbers and shows it in the tab. The tab is named after the heading of the first answer.
If you type in the box on an advice tab and send it, the answer also goes to a new tab. The advice tab stays as it is. If you leave the screen without asking anything, the new tab isn’t kept.

Example questions

  • Completed over time
  • On-time rate by board
  • Cards waiting longest for review
  • Completed and on-time rate by member (Team view)
  • Sent back rate by group (Team view)

AI doesn’t make up numbers

AI only decides which numbers to show and what kind of chart or table to use. The numbers themselves are the values ZARMS calculates from its records. AI never makes up or guesses numbers. If a question can’t be answered from the numbers, AI tells you so. Try asking in a different way.

Set the tab’s period and scope

With the tab open, press Filter to the right of the box. The conditions you choose apply only to that tab and are saved with it.
  • My view tabs: You can choose the period only.
  • Team view tabs: Besides the period, you can narrow by Board, Group, and Member.
When you change the conditions, the tab’s charts and tables are redrawn right away. Questions you ask after that use these conditions too. For how periods and filters work, see Look back with Insights.
Tabs with the same question but different conditions are easy to compare. For example, make “On-time rate by board” in one tab for 1 month and another for 12 months.

Ask follow-up questions

When you type in the box on a tab you made and send it, the answer is added to the same tab. The newest answer appears at the top, right below the box. Earlier answers stay below it. Follow-up answers take your earlier questions into account. A short addition such as “now by week” or “only the late ones” is enough. For each answer, you can press Good answer or Bad answer to rate it.

The latest numbers every time you open it

A tab saves only the questions and the shape of the charts and tables. Each time you open a tab, ZARMS recalculates the current numbers for that tab’s conditions and redraws it. A tab you made last week shows numbers up to today when you open it. A tab’s view (My view or Team view) is set when the first answer appears, and you can’t change it later. To see the other view, ask again in a new tab.

Reorder, close, and undo

  • Reorder: Drag a tab you made.
  • Close: Press × on the tab. A closed tab is deleted.
  • Undo: Right after you close a tab, Undo appears at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds. Press it to put the tab back where it was.
The Advice for you and Advice for the team tabs can’t be closed.

Limits and credits

  • You can make up to 30 tabs. If you have 30, close a tab you don’t use first.
  • You can ask up to 20 questions in one tab. To ask more, use a new tab.
  • Questions must be 2 to 500 characters.
  • Each question uses credits. Opening a tab again and redrawing it doesn’t use credits.
For how credits are granted and limited, see Credits.

If something goes wrong

  • “Could not create the view. Wait a moment, then try again.” appears: Wait a while, then send it again.
  • “Part of this view could not be drawn. Try asking in a different way.” appears: Change how you ask, then send it again.
  • “AI is turned off, so views cannot be created.” appears: An admin has turned off AI features. See AI is unavailable.
  • You can’t find a tab: On a computer, switch the view in the right navigation. My view and Team view tabs appear only in their own view.
