Tell types apart by subject
Subjects are in English or Japanese, depending on your Google account’s language setting. Use the phrases for the language you receive.
For when each email is sent, see Notification emails you may receive.
Troubleshooting
- The filter doesn’t catch the email: If the subject phrase differs by even one character, it won’t match. Look at the subject of an email you received and copy the phrase exactly. A Japanese phrase won’t match an email that arrives in English, and vice versa.
- Every notification gets the same label: If From is your only condition, every notification matches. Create a separate filter for each type, adding a phrase in Subject.
- Emails aren’t arriving: See Email is not arriving.
