# Remove the add-on

> How to remove the ZARMS add-on from Gmail and Google Docs, what stays after you remove it, and what to do when your admin installed it for your organization.

You can remove the ZARMS add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace at any time. Removing it takes ZARMS out of both Gmail and Google Docs. Cards you created and your ZARMS account stay as they are.

## Remove an add-on you installed

**1. Open Manage apps**

Open the [Google Workspace Marketplace](https://workspace.google.com/marketplace) and choose
**Manage apps** from the gear at the top right.

**2. Uninstall ZARMS**

From ZARMS's **Options** (three vertical dots), choose **Uninstall**, then press **Uninstall
app** to confirm.

**3. Revoke access**

In [Third-party apps & services](https://myaccount.google.com/connections) in your Google
Account, choose the ZARMS add-on and delete its access. Without this step, Google keeps a record
of the permission.

The add-on may be listed under the same entry as ZARMS itself (app.zarms.cloud). If you revoke ZARMS's own access too, ZARMS can't prepare card documents and folders. If you keep using ZARMS, allow access again the next time you sign in.

## An add-on your admin installed

If your admin installed the add-on for your organization, you can't remove it yourself. Ask your Google Workspace admin. Admins can remove it from the Google Workspace Marketplace apps list in the Google Admin console.

## What stays after you remove it

| Item | After removal |
| - | - |
| Cards created with the add-on and their docs | They stay, and work in ZARMS as before |
| Your ZARMS account and teams | They stay. To leave ZARMS, see [Delete your personal data](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/account/delete-personal-data.md) |
| Your Gmail email | Nothing changes |

To use it again, reinstall it by following [Install the add-on](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/workspace-addon/install.md).
