# Can't sign in or join

> What causes Google sign-in to get stuck, the team creation screen to appear even though you were invited, or an invite link not to work, and what to do. Find your issue by the message on the screen.

You can only sign in to ZARMS with a Google account. You can use a company Google Workspace account or a personal Gmail account. However, only people who were invited can join an existing team.

Choose the section closest to what's happening.

## You see "Google sign-in failed."

Sign-in stopped partway through. Try these steps in order.

**1. Try again**

Wait a moment, open the sign-in screen again, and try once more.

**2. Allow cookies**

In your browser settings, allow cookies for `app.zarms.cloud`. If your browser blocks cookies,
sign-in can't finish.

**3. Try a different setup**

Sign in from a private (incognito) window or another browser. This also tells you whether an
extension is causing the problem.

## The Google sign-in button doesn't appear

The Google sign-in component didn't load. This is often caused by extensions such as ad blockers, or by restrictions on your company network. Turn off extensions for a moment, or try another network. If you're on a company network, ask your network admin to allow connections to `accounts.google.com`.

If you see "Google sign-in isn't ready.", wait a while and open the page again.

## The team creation screen appears

The Google account you signed in with doesn't belong to any team. If you were invited but still see this screen, one of these is likely:

* **You signed in with a different Google account than the one you were invited with**: This often happens to people who use separate Google accounts for work and personal use.
* **You signed in before the admin created the invitation**: Sign out once, then sign in again to join.
* **The invitation was canceled, or your access was suspended**
* **The team you belong to is suspended or its subscription was canceled**

**1. Check the address**

Ask the admin which email address they used for the invitation.

**2. Sign in again with the invited account**

Open [app.zarms.cloud](https://app.zarms.cloud) in a private (incognito) window and sign in with
the Google account for the invited address.

**3. Ask the admin to check the invitation**

If you still can't join, ask the admin to check on the members screen that your invitation is
still there and that your access isn't suspended.

> [!WARNING]
>
> If you were invited, don't create a new team on this screen. Doing so creates a separate team, and
> you still won't be in the team you were invited to.

## An invite link doesn't work

| Message on the screen | Cause and what to do |
| - | - |
| "This invite link is invalid or expired." | The link expired, reached its usage limit, was turned off, or part of the URL is missing. Ask the admin for a new link |
| "This team is at its member limit, so you can't join." | The team has reached its member limit. Contact an Owner or Manager |
| "This team is suspended." | The team's subscription has stopped. Contact an Owner or Manager |

If you were signed in with a different account when you opened the invite link, press **Join with another account** on the confirmation screen to choose another account.

## You see "Page not found"

Either the URL is wrong, or you don't have permission to enter that team. ZARMS shows the same screen whether a team doesn't exist or you just don't belong to it. For details, see [Can't find a screen or button](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/troubleshooting/cannot-see.md).

## You can't get past the terms of use screen

You need to agree the first time you sign in and whenever the terms change. Once you check the box for every document, you can press **Next**. If you see "The terms could not be loaded.", wait a moment and open the page again.

If you see "Your session expired. Reload the page.", reload the page.
