# Connect from ChatGPT

> How to connect to ZARMS with OAuth using a custom connector in ChatGPT (the MCP settings for developers).

In ChatGPT, you add ZARMS as a custom connector (the MCP settings for developers). The connection uses OAuth. Whether custom connectors are available, and what the menus are called, depends on your ChatGPT plan and on ChatGPT updates.

Before you start, check that you meet the [requirements](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/mcp/overview.md#requirements).

## Connect

**1. Add a connector**

In ChatGPT's settings, open the Connectors (or MCP) screen and add a new server.

**2. Enter the URL and authentication method**

Enter `https://app.zarms.cloud/mcp` as the URL and choose **OAuth** as the authentication
method.

**3. Sign in to ZARMS and allow**

When ZARMS opens in your browser, sign in with your Google account. Choose the **Team to
connect** and either **Read only** or **Read and write**, then click **Allow connection**.

## Disconnect

In ZARMS, go to **Settings** → **MCP connections** in the right-hand navigation and click **Disconnect** on the ChatGPT row.

## Troubleshooting

* **You can't connect and see an error such as "401"**: Check that your plan hasn't changed to Basic, that your team isn't suspended, and that the connection hasn't been disconnected (see [When the connection stops working](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/mcp/overview.md#when-the-connection-stops-working)).
* **The team you want doesn't appear**: If your role is Member, it won't appear until an admin allows Members to connect.
