> You sign in to ZARMS with a Google account. Learn about the permission and consent screens you see the first time, which screen opens after you sign in, and how the display language is chosen.

You sign in to ZARMS with a Google account. You can use a company Google Workspace account or a personal Gmail account. ZARMS doesn't have its own passwords.

If you were invited, sign in with the Google account for the email address you were invited with. For details, see [Join a team you were invited to](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/getting-started/join-team.md).

## How to sign in

**1. Open the sign-in screen**

Go to [app.zarms.cloud](https://app.zarms.cloud). If you're not signed in, the sign-in screen appears.

**2. Press the Google button**

Press the Google sign-in button and choose the Google account you want to use. The button text follows your browser's language, such as "Sign in with Google." Google's account picker may also appear automatically in a corner of the screen.

**3. Allow access on Google's permission screen**

The first time you sign in, Google shows a permission screen. It asks for two things:

* **Google Drive**: Lets ZARMS create and work with the folders and documents that hold your card files. ZARMS only works with files it created and files you choose.
* **Language settings**: ZARMS reads your Google account's language setting to choose its display language.

You can sign in without allowing these, but without Google Drive access, ZARMS can't set up card documents and folders.

If you don't belong to any team yet, ZARMS doesn't ask for Google Drive access here. It asks when you choose the root folder while creating a team.

**4. Agree to the terms of use and privacy policy**

On the "Welcome" screen, review the [Terms of use](https://www.zarms.cloud/terms) and the [Privacy policy](https://www.zarms.cloud/privacy), check the box for each, and press **Next**. When the terms change, you'll see the same screen again, but only for the documents that changed.

**Receive announcements at your email about new features, case studies, and events** is optional. You can use ZARMS without checking it, and you can change it later in [Notification settings](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/notifications/settings.md).

## Which screen opens after you sign in

| Your situation | Screen that opens |
| - | - |
| You belong to one team | That team's Home |
| You belong to more than one team | Home for the team you used last. If ZARMS can't tell, **Choose a team** |
| You don't belong to any team | The team creation screen |

A team is the organization that uses ZARMS together, such as a company or group. If you see the creation screen and you weren't expecting it, see [Can't sign in or join](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/troubleshooting/cannot-sign-in.md#the-team-creation-screen-appears).

If you belong to more than one team, you can switch at any time from the account menu in the top right ([Switch between teams](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/getting-started/switch-team.md)).

## Your Google account language sets the display language

ZARMS uses your Google account's language setting to choose its display language. If it's set to Japanese, ZARMS appears in Japanese. For any other language, ZARMS appears in English. There's no setting inside ZARMS to switch languages.

To change the display language, change your Google account's language setting, then sign in to ZARMS again. Notification emails follow the same rule.

Screens you see before signing in follow your browser's language.

## Sign out

Choose **Sign out** from the account menu in the top right.

## If something goes wrong

If sign-in fails or the button doesn't appear, see [Can't sign in or join](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/troubleshooting/cannot-sign-in.md).
