# Work faster with keyboard shortcuts

> The full list of shortcuts for creating cards and boards, searching, filtering, and moving, sharing, or duplicating cards from the keyboard, and how to choose what Enter does in the AI input box.

To work without reaching for the mouse, use keyboard shortcuts. Press **Ctrl+/** anywhere in the app to open the list. You can also open it from **Shortcuts** in the help menu.

On a Mac, use ⌘ (Command) instead of Ctrl and ⌥ (Option) instead of Alt. The list in the app shows the keys for the computer you're using.

## Create

| Create a group | Alt+Shift+G |
| Create a skill | Alt+Shift+K |

When you create a card from a board screen, that board is already selected as the card's location. See [Create a card](https://help.zarms.cloud/en/cards/create.md).

## Find and move around

| Open an item in the left nav | Alt+1, Alt+2, … (top to bottom) |
| Go to card search | Ctrl+K or / |
| Filter cards | Ctrl+Shift+F |
| Reorder items in the left nav | Alt+↑ / Alt+↓ |
| Refresh the screen | Alt+R |

The Alt+number shortcuts follow the order of the items in your left nav. If you reorder the nav, the numbers change to match.

## Work with cards

| Move the card selection | J (next) / K (previous) |
| Open a card | Enter or Ctrl+Shift+O |
| Share a card | Ctrl+Shift+S |
| Duplicate a card | Ctrl+Shift+D |
| Duplicate a board (on a board screen) | Ctrl+Shift+B |

If you press Esc while card details or a similar dialog has unsaved changes, ZARMS asks whether to save, discard, or keep editing before it closes.

## What Enter does in the AI input box

You can choose whether pressing Enter in the AI input box sends your message or adds a new line. Below the shortcut list, under **Sending chat**, choose **Send with Enter** or **Send with Ctrl+Enter**. Either way, Shift+Enter adds a new line.

## Troubleshooting

* **A shortcut doesn't work**: While you're typing in an input, single-letter keys such as C or J are typed as text. Click outside the input first. Some shortcuts that use Ctrl or Alt also work inside inputs.
* **It doesn't work while typing Japanese or other IME text**: While the IME is composing, it takes priority over shortcuts. Confirm the text first, then press the keys.
* **A browser feature ran instead**: If the browser or OS uses the same keys, it may act first. ZARMS avoids keys that browsers commonly use, such as Ctrl+T and Ctrl+R.
